This policy explains what personal data Sounds Good collects through sounds-good.dk, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.
1. Who is responsible
Sounds Good, Munkensvej 2, 1. tv, 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark. CVR: 45938581. Email: info@sounds-good.dk.
2. What we collect and why
Orders. When you buy from the webshop we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number and order details. We use this to process, ship and support your order (legal basis: performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and keep accounting records as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act (legal obligation, art. 6(1)(c)).
Event tickets. When you buy a ticket we create an account for you, so your tickets are kept there. For each ticket we store the name on the ticket, your email address, the event and ticket type, and, at the door, when it was checked in and by which door staff account. If you transfer a ticket, we store the name and email you enter for the person receiving it and email them so they can add it to their own account. If you’re on a guestlist, we store the name (and email, if given) the organiser entered. We use this to issue and email your tickets, let you transfer them and check people in at the door (legal basis: performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b)). Our box-office staff can see the names, emails and check-in status for an event.
Payments. Card and wallet payments are handled by our payment providers (WooPayments, powered by Stripe, and PayPal). We never see or store your full card details.
Newsletter. If you tick the newsletter box at checkout or sign up elsewhere on the site, we store your email address and name to send you news about events and releases (legal basis: consent, art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Contact form. When you write to us through the contact form we receive your name, email address and message, and use them to reply (legal basis: legitimate interest in answering enquiries, art. 6(1)(f)). Messages are checked for spam automatically.
Site statistics and security. We collect basic usage statistics (such as pages visited and anonymised visitor counts) and technical data such as IP addresses to understand how the site is used and protect it against abuse (legal basis: legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)).
3. Who we share data with
We only share personal data with service providers that help us run the site and the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Printful – prints and ships your order (name, shipping address, phone, order contents).
- WooPayments / Stripe and PayPal – process payments.
- Sender.net – sends our newsletter, if you have signed up.
- SMTP2GO – delivers order confirmations and other emails from the site.
- Automattic (Jetpack, Akismet, WooCommerce) – site statistics, security and spam filtering.
- Hostinger – hosts the website and its database.
Some of these providers are based outside the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by an EU adequacy decision (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal data.
4. Cookies
The webshop uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, such as remembering what is in your cart. These don’t require consent. Statistics cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie the site uses, what it does and how long it lasts, and lets you update your consent.
5. How long we keep data
- Order and accounting records: 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
- Ticket and guestlist details (names, emails, transfers, check-ins): about 6 months after the event, after which only anonymous counts are kept. Ticket orders are kept as accounting records (see above).
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Contact form messages: as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@sounds-good.dk.
If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page.
