Sounds Good #25 w/ Cheeks
For the 25th release of the SG mix series, we're happy to share a recording from our very own @tunesfromcheeks Here's what he has to say about the mix: My favourite type of mixes are those which take you on a journey. Blending different types of music, triggering a range of emotions with unexpected turns along the way. Whether that’s hearing a beautiful song that resinates with you, a classic track you used to love, a groovy tune that gets you off your feet or a banger which keeps you locked into the dance floor. In short, this mix is a collection of tracks which I think sound good frankly. Hope you enjoy it! Big up SG and everyone who has supported us over the 3 years, see you on the 24th October 🕺

Here's what he had to say about it: “The essence of this mix was to delve a bit further into what I refer to as ‘nice and deep’. It’s not just a style, but a vibe. And for this occasion, the intent was to provide a deep and introspective feeling while adding just enough groove to keep the listener engaged. Have a good listen and thanks to the sounds good crew for having me ♥️”
Sounds Good #17 w/ GHOST2U

Sounds Good #16 w/ Pen Pals
For Sounds Good #16 we've invited Pen Pals, here's what he had to say: This mix is more on the housey side of what I usually play, but recently I’ve been revisiting a lot of Optimo mixes since the passing of Twitch. They were hugely impactful upon myself and everyone else I hit the clubs with in Glasgow when at uni in the early 2010s. I wanted to include some music from their label and put together a mix that genre-hopped in the way that they showed me was possible. Beyond viewing this mix through that lens it really represents the breadth of what has inspired me from both Chicago and Glasgow dancefloors, labels and producers. It’s a little rough around the edges, but these days what isn’t? Tracklist: (Artist – Song – Label) Gaeg – Jack – Sound of Vast Traumprinz – N.Y. Diva Has Been Set On Fire (Kasha's Short Vocal Mix) – Traumprinz John Swing – Don't Want It – Relative Spandrel – Italia In Me – Spandrel Civi – Let’s Move – Basement Records Johannes Albert – Kuhruh (Italo Mix) – Frank Music Indicate – The Latest Idea (Digital Deconstruction By Joseph Watt) – Razormaid Records Andre VII – Clandestina Discoteca – ISM Records Smith N Hack – Space Warrior – Smith N Hack Eddie Mercury – Buenos Noches – ISM Records Michael Horse – Sloe – White Label Gaeg – Fountain – Optimo Music Black Devil – “H” Friend – Private Records New Order – 5-8-6 (Peter Black Dub) – White Label Carrie Ann – I Feel Love – Public Shirley Gordon – Move Your Body (Techno Mix) – Retro Tapp – Coochie, Whip Me! Sounds Good #15 w/ DJ TOTÈ
For Sounds Good #15 we've invited DJ Totè, here's what he had to say: “I think this mix got to be my most favourite I’ve done to date. Packed with beautiful tunes, it can turn any bad day upside down! I’d say the main genre is uplifting house – If you’re in doubt what that means, I promise that you will understand by the end of the mix. Throughout the mix I’m taking you on a trip that will poke to your inner nostalgia filled with warm energetic piano, flute, funk, hip hop and soul. This mix reminds me why I DJ 🙂 Enjoy!”
Sounds Good #14 w/ DJ SPICE
Imagine a foggy warehouse, strobes flickering in slow motion, and a dancefloor where time melts into a steady pulse. This mix drifts through the deeper and more psychedelic corners of my collection – layered, hypnotic, and full of groove. Built on tribal rhythms, dubby textures, and broken percussion, it weaves through genres like progressive house, UK garage, deep tech, and classic vocal house. There's a warm, physical energy running through it all – swinging between seductive and strange – with unexpected samples and moments that stretch and bend. It's not what I usually play, but it's a sound I love exploring: immersive, playful, and deeply rhythmic.

Sounds Good #10 w/ bon Ronny
For Sounds Good #10 we've invited back bon Ronny, here's what he had to say: "An easy-listening set journeying through the genres in the usual sentimental style. It's like a playground for a DJ. We just came off the back of throwing a party together last month in our home town, Copenhagen, so the focus was dance, summer evenings, and the smell of a fire pit on your clothes the next morning. 🙂 "
